Terms of Service
Last updated: June 13, 2026
Acceptance
By using SimpleResume (“the Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What the Service does
The Service rewrites and optimizes résumés using automated tools, including AI models. You provide résumé content; the Service returns an optimized résumé, a score, and coaching notes.
AI-generated output
Output is generated by AI and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccurate claims. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying every résumé before you use or submit it. Do not rely on the Service to fabricate qualifications. The Service does not guarantee interviews, job offers, or any particular outcome.
Your responsibilities
- Provide only content you have the right to use.
- Don’t upload unlawful content or other people’s data without permission.
- Don’t abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the Service.
- Keep your account credentials secure if you sign in.
Your content and the license you grant
You retain ownership of the résumé content you provide. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, process, and create derivative works from your content in order to: (a) operate and provide the Service; (b) train, evaluate, and improve our AI models and systems; (c) generate de-identified and aggregated data and insights; and (d) provide employer and recruiter recommendations — all as described in our Privacy Policy. We de-identify your content before using it to train models or to share it for recommendations, except where you consent to be introduced under your identity. We own the de-identified and aggregated datasets, models, and insights we derive from your content.
Employer & recruiter recommendations
The Service may match your profile to roles and surface it to employers, recruiters, and hiring partners. By default they see a de-identified profile; we disclose your identity and contact details only with your consent. We do not guarantee any match, introduction, interview, or job offer, and we are not responsible for the decisions or conduct of any employer or recruiter.
Availability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and [Legal Entity Name] is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its output.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes are reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
